From the museum website: "Silver was virtually unknown in Denmark when this large cauldron of nine kilos arrived in the country in around 100 BC. ... it was produced in the southern Balkans by Thracians, who specialised in the manufacture of luxurious silverware."

Log Text: I've never spent so many hours in a museum. I was finally able to look at so many finds I finally wanted to see in real, especially some from Bornholm. The big city around has always kept me from going there. But it was definitely worth it for the museum.

An excavated four sided stone chamber, from 0.70 to 0.85 m wide.
Set of one carrying stones in N (1.90 m long)
and two in S. (approx. 1.40 m and approx. 1 m long).
Chamber open without stones at both ends.
One capstone.

A beautiful popular monument lying in the factory area of Munkebo.
A tall, 1.60 m tumulus, 13.50 m in diameter from NW to SE, 7 m from the NE to SW:
this irregular shape is obtained by excavation.
Mound encloses a small excavated passage grave. Chamber 3 m in E-W, 2 m wide,
1.75 m high, set of 8 carrying stones.
One capstone on the chamber's western half, the eastern half is open.
Passage from SSW, 2.50 m long, set of 5 construction...

A beautiful popular monument lying in a factory area.
A Round Barrow, 13-15 m in diameter, enclosing an excavated passage grave.
Chamber is 5 m long in NNE-SSW, 2 m wide, 1.60 m high,
set of 4 carrying rocks at east, 4 against west, 1 to north and 2 against south.
No capstones on the chamber, but at the barrows north end we see a 2m rock.
Passage to the east is 2 m long and 0.75 m wide.
