On a small flat-like mound stands a dolmen chamber.
Since the side stones are partly covered with ground, a detailed description of the chamber is not supplied.
In part on top of these 3 of 4 stones lies a capstone, which is 3.0 m long and 0.75 to 1.00 m thick.
Restored in 1957.

Mårhøj Jættestue submitted by holger_rix on 2nd Aug 2011. One of the finest examples of the well preserved danish passage graves.
The biggest tomb of the island Fyn.
The beautiful passage grave Mårhøj lies on a natural hill and
therefore looks extra impressive. The 10 m long and about 2 m wide tomb
was excavated in 1868 by the local farm owner Sun.
He found some human bones and an amber bead as the only
remains of Neolithic burials.
In the corridor stood an urn with burnt bones, but it must have been
from the Late Bronze Age or per...

Bladstrup Ærtesten Jættestue submitted by holger_rix on 4th Aug 2011. Remains of a Passage Grave called "Ærtesten".
Situated in a rectangular grassy low pulpit.
The chamber is rounded in shape, oriented north-south
and consists of 5 upright carrying stones, and a loose fallen against the west.
A large capstone is shifted into the chamber, filling in part of this.
The stone is cleaved on the east side. At capstones north-eastern front at least 50 bowls.
Against NE seen a figure carved in stone, consisting of a ca. 2 cm wide furrow,
approx. 30x20 c...

Log Text: The street noise was quite annoying, but we were there at sunset and it was very atmospheric. The field was freshly harvested and so you could look at the stone from all directions.

Heimburg Menhir submitted by peterpf on 16th Jun 2006. Just about 50 meters away from Hünenstein Benzingerode (2), on the other side of the new highway another menhir is erected behind a fence. Someone told me that this is also an old menhir, which was recovered now.
