Ed Leedskalnin created it in response to rejection from his true love, whom he refers to as "Sweet Sixteen," and who was ten years his junior. I couldn't help feeling that she'd made the right move. Quadra Island clam gardens range in size and shape but generally create shallow sloping intertidal terraces encompassing tidal heights of 0.9–1.5 m above chart datum.
