Baitokaike Temple of Zeus

Baitokaike Temple of Zeus submitted by AlexHunger on 7th Jan 2007. The old Phoenician temple of Baal was sucsessively converted to a temple of Zeus first by the Greeks and then by the romans. The temple is surounded by a compound wall of absolutely massive blocks up to 5 Meters long.

Log Text: I think you will find that it's called Husn Suleiman (حصن سليمان) and that its ancient name was Baetocaese. I would go nowhere near it at present! It is seriously remote and the dangers are great.
