Bargloyer Brookbäke Grab (4)

Bargloyer Brookbäke Grab (4) submitted by Martin_L on 27th Mar 2012. From the NE. The hollowed-out and robbed round barrow most probably dates back to bronze age and contained no megalithic structure. It is situated at the SE edge of a small wood with dense undergrowth. The barrows' diameter is approx. 18m, height up to 1,2m. It has a central pit most probably caused by historic excavations or perhaps collapse of an internal wooden structure. Of course this can only be clarified by archaeological examination. March 2012
