Log Text: This was my partner’s and my second visit. The menhirs were in a field of grass this year, but our first visit found them in the middle of a field full of 2m high maize on a very misty day. The feeling we felt as we emerged from the maize in the mist to see the first stone, fully upright and then the second recumbent one some metres away was really special. Remarkable monument to people who must have been so driven to drag such massive stones from where they were hewn several kilometres away.
