Woodbarrow (Glos) submitted by Mr_Nakajima on 3rd Dec 2006. On a trip to the Cotswolds to look at barrows in November 2006 I decided to visit some of the lesser-known ones.
Woodbarrow is situated on a gentle slope with excellent views across the Cotswolds to the east. The barrow itself is very eroded, I estimate no more than half a meter high, and without a map would be very difficult to find.

Turn off the A46 to Kingswood and take the third turning to the left to Upper Cheyney.Follow this road to a fork and take a left to Coldharbour Farm.Ask at the farm for permission to go into the field and mind the cows.Well worth a visit.

Log Text: Not that hard to find - just keep walking up hill from the sawmills (along a pathway that starts -left- between the gate to the sawmills and the gate by the old cricket pavilion and then take the second oblique right keeping the higher part of the hill/wood just slightly to the left of your direction of travel) - just short of the top is West Tump - worth the effort
