Log Text: Vega, interesting Mesolithic sites.
People lived here 7.500 BC in the far north. The environment was quite different though. The sea level was 60m higher than the present. One large island was reduced to one island a fifth of the size of the present and another quite small maybee a tenth the area of today were the settlements have been identified.
Five sites have been identified. Presently located well inland, but located next to the sea at the time they were in use. A path has been created between them with ifo boards recounting the facinating story of a bygone age long ago in this coastal island far in the north
It is not much solid matter to put your teeth into, but the scenery, the storyboards at each site, the seabirds and view gets you into a mood to take in the history embedded in this area.
