Derreenataggart submitted by Johnny on 21st Jun 2002. Derreenataggart Stone Circle, Co. Cork (V665 463):
Derreenataggart is both easily accessible and a fine example of an axial or recumbent stone circle. It is now incomplete: of an original fifteen or so stones, nine remain erect and three are now prostrate. I had no idea what this is meant to be and indeed no idea whether this is the proper megalithic remains! Later I find out that this is indeed the remains of a megalithic burial chamber (dolmen a bit incorrect perhaps). And that there is also a menhir nearby.

Caer-Dyni submitted by DavidRaven on 25th Jul 2004. Grid Ref: SH 511 383
A forlorn little burial chamber, near the railway line east of Criccieth.
The slipped capstone has a notch in it. There seems to be a significant number of smaller stones around the base of the rocks; almost as if it could've been the remains of a cairn?!
The stone that still supports the capstone appears to be a different rock type from the rest, like a coarse sandstone...
