reading the book of Richard E. Leakey, the Making of Mankind from 1982 got my mind spinning reading about the two clay Bisons found in the Tuc D'Audoubert, untouched and unseen for 15.000 years.
The time was back in the early 80's, but the cave was not open to the public and very difficult to find. But the cave was found and a collappsible canoe brought us in there after the long drive from Norway to the environs of Ste.Croix in the fr...

Log Text: reading the book of Richard E. Leakey, the Making of Mankind from 1982 got my mind spinning reading about the two clay Bisons found in the Tuc D'Audoubert, untouched and unseen for 15.000 years.

Log Text: We were furnished with an excellent mechanic/driver at The Byron hotel in Aleppo for the trip to the see the site of the Ebla Archives. Spectacular location in the hills of Northern Syria.

Log Text: Difficult to find. Three hours on horseback from the village of Alquézar, Aragon, and then a half hour brisk walk. But well worth it on arrival at the end of the narrow canyon.
