My aim in life is to remove the fable,that no abbey buildings exist in Newry. Quite the contrary, we have a church from the middle ages which is now in the guise of a fake Bagenal Castle, we also have the church of the Cistercians,now in the guise of a museum. All the buildings in and around Newrys Abbey yard are all from the Cistercian foundation, they have been converted over the years, cant wait to see whats really under the glass floor of the fake Castle where a middle age stair case has been discovered in 2006 but reburied again. The question remains why?
