Description
Großsteingrab in der Kunkenvenne
it is called 1841 A.D. as the most awesome and nicest stonegrave in the Kingdom of Hannover. It has 17 yokes and is 27m long. The grave is build in the typically east-west-direction (235°) with a passage in the south. Very special is, that the oval border circle is doubly.
First excavtions were made by officers of Napoleon I. Some stones lowered but in 1824 A.D. stones brought back in their originally position.
In the stonegrave were found stonehatchets, amber beads and the typically Beaker culture vessels.
Well, first day without rain since weeks and Beagle Anton and I used the holiday to make a excursion into the Emsland and found this very nice building at:
52° 30.33 N
7° 30.37 E
