Are those barrows on the ridge? Jack Walker has written a lot about this site, and its orientations, in 'Dartmoor Sun', but I haven't got it to hand right now.

I have been wondering exactly the same thing myself from looking at this picture. I think the one left of centre is probably this cairn, but I think the two mounds on the right are 18/19th century tin mining remains.
