Beautiful colour, and huge! I can't quite work out the white-ish edging around the stones in the rear Drew - are there just daylight coming through?

It was some sort of leaching I think. There was no daylight coming in at or near those white marks, although there is a sky light added now in the main chamber. The colour of the Eday rock appealed to the builders of St Magnus Cathedral too as they got the rock for it from Eday. It was raining hard the day I visited Vinquoy and I sheltered in the chamber casuing my camera to steam up so many of the shots did not come out well.
