Description
This small stone is interesting. It is at 52040708, -3.106825 to 6m accuracy.
I think the Equinox sun would have set over the barrow from this stone, or the shadow of the barrow would touch the stone at this time. (The bearing of the barrow from this stone is 258 degrees true).
The orientation along the spine of the stone is 238 true, which is in line with a Minor Lunar Standstill on the horizon.
There is also a Major Lunar Standstill 'skim' alignment from the summit of Hay Bluff (173T) to 210 T.
Not only that, but Arcturus would have skimmed the northern horizon in 1500BC
