While I was visiting the Merry Maidens in Cornwall last month, a lady arrived with a group and went round unceremoniously laying flowers at each stone, from a bunch that she had obviously bought.
Later, at The Hurlers, I found a small altar in the central circle that looked as though it had started as a small fire and been added to with stones, flowers and other offerings.

I don't mind biodegradable offerings too much, but otherwise I think 'leave the place tidier than you found it'.

Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
