Re: Callanish Stones may knock out modern turbines by Anonymous on Saturday, 26 October 2024

1500 houses?? This island has the highest rate of fuel poverty in Scotland! And will be turned into a giant battery for homes in England! Not a kilo watt will heat a single home here!
Have you any idea of the detrimental effects this will have! Just look at Shetland as the vibration turning the peatland to mud and sliding off the hill! 4000 year old peat! Family going out of their own homes because they feel sick from the vibrations when the turbines a on! When they are switch off, £20 million of tax payers money to the companies a year!
As for the ancient sites that will be destroyed in creating the massive infrastructure needed
Benefits to local communities is selling glass beads to our native community!
These turbines are going up all over the island and rural Scotland, it will take either the battery park storage or a turbine to combust, if the peatland catches fire! Nothing green here just destruction of an precious ancient land!

Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
