Exactly as the above comment states. You are doing what the archeoastronomers should be doing: observing and adjusting your observations to the era of construction of the stone circles. When the a-astronomers visit the sites, it seems they visit as many as they can & then estimate what would/could/might/might not be/have been seen etc instead of sending their staff/students/hangers-on to observe. They might even get many volunteers from this site if they bothered to ask. Has anyone approached them? Or are they, like most academics, completely unapproachable? Have you had any response to your requests for observers? Afraid I can't help: too far away, in Canada.
