I live close to the Merry Maidens and spend a great deal of time there every year tidying up the junk that is left behind.The non-biodegradable stuff is deposited close by in one of the stone hedges and the bio degradeable stuff is removed to a safe place(some of it could be dangerous to the cattle that graze the field) ,but one wonders if the litter bugs in their own little world think it is removed by the Piskeys
I am a pagan myself and cannot understand the mindset of other so called pagans that visit these sites and leave what can only be regarded as litter rather than offerings at these sites.
CHANGE NOTHING AT THESE SITES ---- JUST LET THE SITES CHANGE YOU, LEAVE NOTHING BEHIND BUT YOUR LOVE this should be the the way to apreciate thes places
