well what can i say. as my second time at stonehenge i found it even more amazing and even more magical.
walking around all the happy people.
its a shame that some people turn up just to get drunk and cause trouble but i guess that they'r just not lucky enough to know that theirs more to life and more to stonehenge.
i dont know if anyone else experienced this this solstice but i could rarely bring myself into the centre of the stones. i felt such a strong energy in there i felt like i had to stay on the outside looking in.
the fire displays were amazing down at the heel stone.
i wish they would have turned the lights off sooner but i suppose it makes it safer for everyone
i finally brought myself into the middle after the sun had risen and wow what a performance from all you talented musicians. we made such beautifull rhythyms and music.
its such an overwhelming feeling of togetherness when its just us the stones and our drums.
the only thing i disagreed with was the smartass who felt he had to climb the stones. sure we would all love to get on top of the stones in front of thousands of people and show off a bit but the reason i dont and i assume the reason everyone else doesnt is because were lucky enough that we can dance around the stones and even touch them but climbing on them as we all know could jeapordize future solstices and thraten our right to be in stonehenge. it could lead to all sorts of problems. but anyway lets not go into that.
i have to say that the poem which was read out at the end was most beautifull and very touching.
i even enjoyed myself when i got back to the car park and really enjoyed the home made cider from the blue van (you know who you are)
i could sit here all day and tell you about how happy i am to have found stonehenge, the solstice and all you amazing people who make it magical.
i hope i can go there every year for the rest of my life to cleanse myself and renew my energy and i hope my children and my grandchildren will be able to experience such magic in their lives to.
