Yes, very sad indeed. He will be much-missed. Characters like him (and Phil) who are good communicators and genuinely nice people who are passionate about their work are few and far between and our lives have been made richer for sharing their enthusiasm.
He was also a little younger than me, and must have had so much more to give.
