Great article. It might be worth others checking their favorite sites around the country to see if any obvious solsticial alignments are present. I will be at Bullstones weather permitting and aim to photograph its sunrise alignment with Shuttlingslowe by imaging BS in the foreground with Shut directly in-line the distance. Even if the sunrise is no longer exactly in-line it still allows valuable data to be collected re the prehistoric alignment and will include the all important atmospheric refraction effect to be qualified.
