Additional information supplied by Drew Parsons in September 2012: This recumbent stone circle dates from the Bronze Age. It is 17 metres in diameter and has a huge 4.5 metre long 20 ton recumbent stone flanked by two tall standing stones which interestingly curve or bend towards it. One stone appears to have been re-erected and the whole site landscaped to its present format which erased the burial cairn which once stood in the circle. Nevertheless, located in the churchyard at Midmar Kirk it is in a beautiful setting. Reference: Canmore: https://canmore.org.uk/site/18001
