Glad to hear that your next segment will be on stonehenge. These cromlechs as they are called was the first portion of a historic architec-
ture class I have taken as part of my anthropology electives (I have chosen archaeology as my concentration). Dolmens were the first oc-
curence. The strange part of stonehenge is the materials that were used.
Some of these materials, such as the blue stone were only found to have come from miles away and would have to of been transported across land over water and over land again. The reasons for this type of architecture is also unclear. My favorite hypotheses is the one where these were built by Merlin during the reign of King Arthur and used as a
celestial calendar. Another favorite, that they were constructed by the Druids does not fit into the time frame of their construction. By the way, Enrique@Archaeospain has some interesting megalithic fieldwork oppor-
