Maybe this is wayyyy too basic a question, but how accurate can the claimed-for calendar be today given the shift in the earth's axis? I'm aware, for example, that various stars are no longer seen in the exact same positions as they were during the Bronze Age.
As for (feigned) surprise that such theorizing comes from a mere "farmer," well, both "our" Thomas Jefferson and George Washington were that too. So I'm not surprised.
Also, what's going to happen when the theory brushes up against stuff like the recumbent stone circles of Scotland?
