In the churchyard at Fortingall, Perthshire, Scotland, there is a 5,000 year old yew tree, perhaps the oldest in Europe. According to legend, Pontius Pilate was born here. At the church there are Pictish stones, ancient font and cross-slabs from the 7th century AD. The church stands on a monastic site, dating from 600 AD.
