well, there are a lot of them over here! Actually just wanted to remark that Newry is in CO Down, Northern Ireland, not Southern: here in the Republic the fines / penalties for removing or damaging a listed monument are very stiff, and can include jail if the judge is so inclined. If someone put it in their garden in the republic they would be almost certainly shopped - most people don't like people messing with these things.
However I don't know the penalty for N.Ireland, the same one presumes as Britain? Most of these thefts are to order, for idiot rich tourists and the like, who can afford to have it shippped out in sealed containers, or so the guardai tell me:)
