I too have visited the maidens at various times and have found the flowers bound by grass . I feel regardless of whoever leaves them they reflect that even in this day and age we have people who respect the old ways . they must feel that the site is sacred in some way as do I and the flowers represent an offering of thanks to whatever power resides there . I therefore added a small gift of my own in the way of wild flowers . I see no reason to question this act it seemed perfectly natural
