From the Guardian Society Suplement: Stonehenge road inquiry imminent

A public inquiry begins on 17 February into the Highways Agency's plans to upgrade the A303 under Stonehenge.
Work could start as early as 2005 and be completed by 2008 if the plans are approved.
The National Trust, the Council for British Archaeology and The International Council on Monuments and Sites are opposing the plans because of fears of the effect on the world heritage site.
