The duchess of Medina Sidonia has a large collection of family documents including a receipt for lambs by the son of the emperor Moctezuma for a festival being held in the vicinity or the palace itself. It seems to imply that the ducal family had contacts with the Aztecs who in this case appears in documents to have lost one of his daughters whilst in Cadiz. The duchess has performed a miracle against great odds including family resistance to the centralisation and non sale of any of the documents by turning it all into an untouchable foundation that will survive her own death. Learned institutions would do well to help to preserve these important and unique archives of a family that ranked high in the historical exploits of many centuries.
As far as the "european" aspects of some native american indians, I would suggest that as a member of the Moctezuma family through the union of the Morejon family and Bernarda the sixth grandaughter of the slain emperor Moctezuma 111, I was surprised to have inherited a major part of his features and particularly the nose, which I thought I had inherited from my phoenician father (maltese). I suspect that Quetzcoatl was a Phoenician mariner or member of a royal tribe intent on leaving his seed behind in the upper levels of the Aztec society with a view to creating a power line that would receive his descendants generations ahead. This could be a way of seeding lower civilisations with potential for future harvesting. This would also imply that there were very ancient civilisations with a great deal of knowledge of the earth and its inhabitants and that a select group which all seem to call , the people of the knowledge, inherited traditions with respect to their contriibution towards the civilising process. It is not surprising therefore that the Aztecs utilized four noses as a means of multiplication in their arithmetic expositions Each one has a a scale value and it might have been a method of preserving genetic information about their origins and the racial kinds to whom they belonged.
