Round Barrow(s) in Flintshire

Situated along a footpath that leads from the village of Treuddyn lie two barrows within a few metres of each other. The area is pasture land and the barrows occupy a prominent position on a rounded knoll on a large level plateau between the rivers Terrig to the NW and Cegidog to the SE. One of the barrows (the largest) has been scheduled and shares this status with two nearby barrow sites, at Pen Y Stryt and Pentre and a standing stone (Carreg y Llech) at Treuddyn.

The larger barrow is the more prominent of the two with a 30m diameter and a height of 1.2m the second barrow is much lower and appears truncated by a large hedge on the western side. Both barrows are turf covered.

There are views of the Terrig valley from the west to the north east.
