Modern Stone Circle / Monolith in Honshū

A huge dry landscape in a Hikone Castle park, constructed in 1677 using the robbed stones from the garden of Seigan-ji temple. Also called "GenkyūRakuraku-en" along with adjoining hude pond garden "Genkyū-en". "En" means 'garden'.

Open 8:30-17:00, all year round, admission to the gardens (and the castle) 800 Japanese Yen (2024 price).
