Hillfort in Honshū
Known as a medieval castle on a mountain top (432.9m alt) and selected as one of 100 Fine Castles in Japan. Ruined after 1568 and no buildings remain now.
Situated on a mountain top with fine view, so some scholars suspect that this castle was constructed on an ancient hillfort.
Can be driven halfway up via 2 narrow roads, the checkpoints require 500 Japanese Yen as toll and close at 16:30. There are also trails for hikers.
