Trowlesworthy Tor north settlement
Trowlesworthy Tor north settlement submitted by TheCaptain : The view from Legis Tor across the river Plym to Trowlesworthy Tor north settlement. The settlement remains are in the centre of the photo in the middle distance, below the prominent leat. (most obvious parts in the cloud shadow beside the leakage from the leat) (Vote or comment on this photo)
On the north eastern slopes of Trowlesworthy Tor, on the southern banks of the River Plym below Spanish Lake, are the much ruined remains of a settlement.

Unlike the substantial settlement opposite, there are no large enclosures, and only the remains of a dozen or so single huts or enclosures are to be found, none in very good condition.

Update August 2019: This enclosed settlement is featured on the Prehistoric Dartmoow Walks (PDW) website - see their entry for the Trowlesworthy Enclosed Settlement. PDW tells us this settlement comprises "Two adjoining enclosures containing four hut circles and two other contemporary structures on the W flank of Lee Moor some 300m W of Little Trowelsworthy Tor".

More information can be found on the Devon & Dartmoor HER: MDV 2530 (Prehistoric Hut Circle Settlement (B) at Trowlesworthy Warren, Shaugh Prior) and Pastscape Monument No. 439139.

The site is also scheduled as part of Historic England List ID 1019084 (Partially enclosed stone hut circle settlement and post-medieval warren structures on the western slope of Little and Great Trowlesworthy Tors).
