Nuraghe in Sardinia (Sardegna)

This well-preserved single-towered nuraghe (monotorre) is located in a valley, NE of the famous Nuragic complex of Santu Antine. Nuraghe Longu has a perfectly preserved tholos chamber with niches and an intra-mural staircase. The entrance to the nuraghe is very low, therefore it is obvious that the Nuragic floor is far below the current ground level. Remains of the tholos chamber of the second floor are clearly distinguishable at the top of the tower.

The monument is intervisible with the nearby nuraghi Culzu and Fraigas.
