2. A stone walled enclosure, c.3.6m square, is terraced into a SE facing slope. A step on all sides frames a central, paved area, in which the well is sunk."

Ffynnon Aelrhiw
Ffynnon Aelrhiw submitted by Catrinm : This well (Grade II listed) is now restored with better access with Welsh Gov funding for access projects. On a circular waymarked walk on Rhiw ...efforts to open a ditch to improve drainage seems instead to have made the footpath very boggy ! (Vote or comment on this photo)

Re: Ffynnon Aelrhiw by Anonymous on Thursday, 04 August 2022
Currently in 2022, it is easily accessed by a short, signed diversion from the Welsh Coastal Path. The start of the diversion is adjacent to a new footbridge which crosses the stream flowing from the well.

Has the potential to be a very nice well to visit. It has been restored in the recent past but is now totally overgrown by brambles again. Virtually impossible to see anything visiting in September 2012

Couldn't find it at all in October 2013. But as Holywell will agree, that doesn't mean a lot as I am renowned for not finding wells!
