The only visibel remaining part is the Ubiermonument ("monument of the Ubii"). It was discovered in 1965/66. This building is a square stone tower on a foundation plate of nearly 115 m². Today, the tuff stonework is still preserved up to 6.50 m high. Originally, it was possibly more than 12 m high.
The function of the building is not known. It was most likely the harbour tower or a fortification of the city wall.
The Ubiermonument lies more than 6 m below the street level. It can be visited in an underground museum hall.
