Rock Cut Tomb in Honshū
162 cave tombs were dug on a cliff. Part of the site was modified as a modern graveyard and the Buddhist images were engraved in the some of the cave tombs. The tombs nos.6, 11 and 12 have the engravings of bird, dragon and other geometric patterns, those are supposed to have been engraved when the caves were dug. The path to the westernmost tomb group start at a metal gate (36.53790N,140.54103E), but it is difficult to distinguish which tomb is the engraved one.
