A massive, 240cm tall granite monolith in Bohemia of circular base and unmistakable "phallic" shape. Before I visited this place I did not expect much, so I was very surprised when I visited. The site is almost unknown although it surely deserves more.
There is no signpost or even mark on the map there, but you can´t miss it. The stone stands proudly few steps from forest road just behind the gamekeeper's building.
The only certainty is that this is not a natural rock outcrop. A survey confirmed a gravel base about 40 cm beneath. The origin and the purpose remains unknown. The name Devil's Stone comes probably from the early medieval period of Christianization.
