Jonographic visited on 1st Jan 0000 - their rating: Cond: 3 Amb: 3 Access: 4 Easily recognisable round barrows and adjacent long barrow on the crest of hill. Easy access as now a public open space managed for wildlife diversity. Barrows covered in scrub and long grass, some rabbit burrows cut down into chalky material where I found numerous items of worked flint, seemingly scrapers of some sort in various stages of flaking. Probably a good site on a warm day, when I visited it was blowing a gale and rained so hard it stung, makes you wonder about the conditions at the time of construction on the hill all that time ago.

A pair of bowl barrows situated a few hundred metres southeast of the neolithic Dorset Cursus. Both barrows have traces of a ditch and are mutilated at their centres by antiquarian excavation.
