Info found in an 1833 document gives the following information.

A five ft tall prismatic menhir on the lower slopes of the Grosse Roche hill, close to the Douve river at the edge of Briquebeque commune.

Somewhere in the community of Negreville there is supposedly a 1.6 metre tall menhir, but I could not find it, as it is not shown on any of my maps, nor on the village map outside the Mairie as often these stones are.

I had a good look all around the churchyard but found nothing, and also at a place where a "stele" is marked, but this turned out to be a memorial to a crashed C.47 during the second world war, but it was a nice walk.
