The wonderfully carved Anglian cross in the churchyard of St Lawrence in Eyam. SK 21787639 The cross is a Grade 1 listed Anglian high cross dating probably to the 8th century. There are carvings of plant scrolls and leaves on the shaft. On the upper half of the western face are carvings of figures which appear to represent the Virgin Mary with the child.
