The Neolithic settlement of the Linear Pottery Culture (or LBK, based on the German "Linearbandkeramik") was discovered in Cologne-Lindenthal (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany) in 1929. The site dates from ca. 5300 – 5000 BC.

The remains of 86 houses from 16 different construction phases have been described.

Among the most famous finds is a piece of pottery with a modeled human face as well as a fragment of a bull-shaped vessel.

Today, a brass plate on a sandstone boulder marks the place of discovery. Some of the finds are displayed in the Römisch-Germanisches Museum Köln.
