Cuba BeachesIf you are looking for a holiday destination for this summer, then you need to look no further. Since 2015 tourism in Cuba has risen dramatically, and it is slowly becoming a more and more popular holiday destination. Cuba is the biggest island in the Caribbean, which means it has no shortage of fun for tourists.

You can get a VISA for Cuba for UK Citizens by following a simple process, so it's not inconvenient at all. When it comes to taking a trip to Cuba, you do not really need a reason. But in this article, I will cover a few excellent ones to hopefully convince you to take a trip to this exciting island.

It is Beautifully Preserved

While political isolation has posed a lot of challenges to Cuba over time, it has also kept it preserved. Tourists have not yet overrun the historical buildings, and commercial tourism hasn't overtaken the place yet. If you are looking to take a trip to the past, then Cuba is an ideal place for you. Not all Cubans get to meet tourists, and when you are going to undiscovered places, you will find their hospitality welcoming.

The Architecture is Refreshing

Havana The architecture you will find in Cuba is a very different to the UK. The architecture of the country is inspired highly by French neoclassical, Colonial baroque, and Spanish Moorish that will keep your eyes captivated. From the streets of Trinidad (a town in Cuba) to Old Havana, there is so much to see and explore.

Experience the Local Life in Private Homes

While there is no shortage of hotels in Cuba, if you want to get the full local experience, you can stay in a private house. This is referred to as Casa Particular in the country, where you rent a room in a local’s home. Not only does it help you get an idea of the local life in Cuba, but it will allow you to save more money during the trip. Cubans are very friendly people, so there is a good chance the host will be happy to tell you all about the history of the island.

Gorgeous Beaches

Cuba has more than three hundred beaches, and the weather in the country mostly stays pleasant. The turquoise blue water and white sand will transport you straight to heaven. Also, having this many beaches allows you to take a sunbathe unspoiled by other tourists. Prominent beaches on the island include Playa Los Flamencos, Playa Pilar, and Playa Ancón. However, it does not matter which beach you chose. Wherever you go, you will feel like you are in another universe.Perrito de costa / Coast puppy,

Natural Beauty is the Hidden Feature

While Cuba is widely famous for its beaches and architecture, it is also packed with a lot of jaw-dropping natural beauty to inspire any traveller. Gorgeous mountain ranges cover the southeast of the country, caves, and waterfalls that are must-see. And if you are one of those people who love trekking, hiking or climbing you can try to conquer Pico Turquino, which is Cuba’s highest peak and quite a challenge.

I hope this has been helpful, with many thanks to Visit Cuba online, Dennis Sylvester Herd, Pedro Szekely and Gabriel González for their kind support and assistance with this article, including Creative Commons images.
