Enclave Arqueológico de Doña Blanca
or Yaciemento Arqueológico de Doña Blanca

Jerez de la Fronteira.
Part of the village 800BC
The remains of the wall of the harbour in the Guadalete River 800BC connected to the open sea.
Doña Blanca was situated at the Guadalete River as a harbour trade center connected to Cadiz and the hinterland of the mining area in the PiryteBelt.
These hills were habitueted since the late Chalcolitic perood (2000BC, during the Tartesian period till 800BC and later the Phoenicians from 800BC.
The vast area was at least 7ha large and 5% has been excevated.
There was a harbour, villages, vineyards, necrópolis, tradecenter, craftsmen, defensive structure of 4 round towers and walls.
Many artifacts were found, eg the oldest winecellar of Spain.
