The well from the western side of Livesey Road, showing how the tree has grown over part of the well house.  As the well was originally within the grounds of the Friary, which was founded in the 13th century, the well has been here for some considerable time, and is a scheduled ancient monument, despite its not so glorious modern surroundings.
