Description
Petroglyphs at Maidu Historic Site
These petroglyphs are located behind the Maidu Indian Museum in Roseville, California. Carved into sandstone about 5,000-10,000 years ago by prehistoric natives, this site was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Record # 364185.

The museum itself is new and very nice. I learned some interesting - and sad - facts about the indians native to the area. Unfortunately they do not allow photography inside.
