Description
Nether Largie North, as seen from the lane, approaching it from Nether Largie Mid Cairn. I didn't realise until reading the photo of the information board and my reference books after my visit that this cairn is a reconstruction. Rachel Butter's Kilmartin book (p 58) says "there was also a circular earthen bank - perhaps the remains of an even earlier monument". The white 'square' in the middle is the hatch which allows you to descend into the chamber.
