Description
Two large barrows at cemeterys' NE edge. This is where the info panel is placed. “Einen Hügelgräberfeld” is a remarkable large bronze- and iron age barrow cemetery still consisting of 50 barrows and several long and low wall-like structures, partly adjacent to some of the bronze age barrows and probably contemporary to them. Barrows' sizes vary from 5m to 20m diameter, and 0,3m to 2m height. Situated in woodland, but partly without larger amounts of undergrowth. The site currently is signposted from the small Goldenstedt – Colnrade road, there also is a tick warning sign. A site sign is placed at the north-eastern edge of the cemetery. February 2012
