The Kernos
As you can see from the pic, the archaeos consider it an "offering table."
There are 33 small holes plus 1 larger hole on it's rim. An usual number 33, it equates to the precise number of years that the sun will at the exactly the same point on the horizon.
Coincidence?

If it were an azimuth sight of some sort wouldn't the holes be in smaller semi-arcs on two sides and not all the way around? It seems they would also not be so evenly spaced. The sun's position at the horizon wouldn't change by more than roughly 20-30 degrees (I'm guessing) on either side of the equinox azimuth. Could it be a column base, a paint-shop pallette for mixing colors, or a board game?
